Day 1
Arrival at SJO, drive to Manuel Antonio
Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría Airport in San José, you'll be greeted by your guides, Chas and Mary Cate Morgan, who will provide you with healthy wraps, snacks, and drinks for the drive to Manuel Antonio. You'll travel in comfort on an air-conditioned bus to your accommodation for the week, a small hotel that borders Manuel Antonio National Park.

Day 2
Morning: Snorkeling
After a traditional Costa Rican breakfast of gallo pinto, fruits, and juice, your group will head out for a morning of snorkeling aboard a catamaran. The boat will make stops for swimming, snorkeling, and a delicious lunch before returning to the hotel.

Afternoon: Manuel Antonio National Park
In the afternoon, you'll explore the nearby Manuel Antonio National Park with a guide, and have the chance to swim at the park's private beach before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary
Today, you'll have the opportunity to volunteer at Kids Saving the Rainforest, an animal sanctuary in the area. You'll learn about the sanctuary's operations and meet its amazing staff and veterinarian, and then help with projects around the facility. This will be a full-day activity, and after lunch at the sanctuary's restaurant, you'll continue working on the day's project. In the evening, you'll visit the nearby beach for some relaxation before dinner.

Day 4
Nauyaca Waterfall and Surfing

Day 5
Canopy Tour
On this day, you'll see the rainforest from a different perspective, the canopy. You'll walk deep into the rainforest with your zip-line guides to a series of platforms and experience a monkey-eye view of the rainforest. You'll also have the chance to encounter animals that are normally very difficult to view from the ground.

Volunteer at a turtle reserve
After a lunch break, you'll head to the Playa Tortuga Reserve for a volunteering experience. You'll meet the researchers running the reserve, learn about their sea turtle conservation program, and then dedicate your time to helping with one of the numerous ongoing projects at the reserve.

Day 6
Canyoning
Today, you'll go canyoning with certified guides through streams and waterfalls. All equipment meets climbing and canyoning safety standards. We'll unwind from the adventure by having a free afternoon at the hotel where you can go souvenir shopping, spend a final afternoon at the beach, or relax by the pool.

Day 7
Tarcoles Bridge on the way to San Jose
On the last full day of the trip, you'll visit the Tarcoles Crocodile Bridge and explore downtown San José.

Mercado Central and Jade Museum
At the Jade Museum, you'll learn about the beautiful jade artifacts and the ancient tribes that lived in Costa Rica thousands of years ago. You'll then visit the famous Mercado Central, where you can buy souvenirs and try the famous ice cream of Lolo Mora. In the evening, you'll have a final dinner as your Costa Rican adventure comes to an end. In the evening, you'll have a closing dinner in San José.
