SUGGESTED REGION:

Nicoya

Description:

Surf up and down the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Depending on if you want to focus on the Nicoya Peninsula, southern area of Costa Rica, or both we will find great waves- beginner to advanced. May to November is the most consistent swell, but there are waves throughout the year.

Our Tips:

All of the Pacific Coast has amazing breaks. From Dominical, to the Osa (Pavones is one of the longest lefts in the world) to Jaco and Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica has tons of options for beginners to pros. Santa Theresa has the most consistent waves year-round and plenty of space at multiple breaks so the lineup never feels ridiculously crowded.

SUGGESTED REGION:

Nicoya

Our Tips:

Interested in quickly moving around the country? Think about flying with Costa Rica's regional airline, Sansa, in an airplane we call a 'puddle jumper'. Although it is more expensive, hopping to a specific area will be much easier. There are car rental agencies in many parts of the country, so if you're interested in renting after flying in the puddle jumper it is definitely an option.
